December 2011 Begins!

Well folks, it's December 2011!  This month came to us cold, which is usual, and snowy! Yes, that's right, SNOW! We are receiving our first snow of the season today.  It's always fun to watch the pretty snow fall.  It's just so peaceful and calm.   Forecast calls for 1-3 inches of accumulation, but who knows.

This is a VERY busy time of year...as it is for many.  Filled with Church & School Christmas programs, Community Choir performances for our Christmas Cantata, decorating, buying/wrapping gifts, making gifts, baking goodies, trips to Silver Dollar City to enjoy the lights and Christmas atmosphere, Christmas gatherings & parties with friends and family, singing Happy Birthday to a very special VIP, and on top of that trying to finish the long remodeling process and moving!  I DON'T KNOW  IF IT'S ALL POSSIBLE TO FIT IN THIS YEAR!!!  My head is spinning.

But, the most important thing out of any of the above is to remember the reason for the season.  None of the above has any importance whatsoever if the true meaning of Christmas is forgotten!  It's so easy to get wrapped up in wrapping gifts.  Instead wrap up in the love of Jesus and all He has done and is doing for us.

I wish each and every one of you a very blessed and happy holiday season.  Most importantly....MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Until next time . . .
